The weather held out for the horse show at the fairgrounds. We left on Wednesday and came home on Sunday the 17. We had 7 students go. Bringing home 52 ribbons and four reserve champions. Cathe Lowe took her OTTB Dancer Sonata aka The Villian. This was his first horse show. Also Asbury Lane went and this was his first show as well. Both horses thought they were back at the track. Sonata we pulled his jumping classes as he was to hyper and needed to calm down. He did well and got a fifth in his pleasure class on Sunday. What a good boy. Michelle Welch riding The Executive got a third in hunter under saddle.Third in trail a third in beg. Equitation and Performance bridle path hack, fourth in showmanship, fourth in road hack, third in pleasure.
Kelly Steir riding Baron Bright Star received reserve champion. fourth in performance hunter u/s second in beg. hunter u/s ,fifth in beg. hunter hack, third in performance hunter hack, sixth in beg hunter O/F , fifth in performance bridle path hack, second in showmanship, third in performance road hack, second in trail and pleasure and sixth in beg hack.
Amanda Lewis took reserve champion riding Scooters Lucky Charm.
Second in long stirrup crossrails Equitation, crossrail hunter, third in hunter U/s , second in equitation on the flat. second in pleasure, third in horsemanship, first in command.
Nicki McMahon took reserve champion riding Baron bright star. Sixth in, crossrail hunter, first in Hunter U/S, fifth in hunter hack and in equitation, sixth in W/T pleasure, third in horsemanship, fourth in command, first in trail.
Diane Kisselstien riding I'm A Dream Goer did very well considering this was Rocky's fifth show and first time in the coliseum. Sixth in long stirrup Eq crossrails and second in halter. But she made up for it on Scooter's Lucky Charm winning Reserve champion in the W/J western classes. Second in command, showmanship, third in western Eq, First in western pleasure,third in command, second in trail.
Sara Bartlett riding The Executive only went in four classes. fifth in long stirrup hunter U/S, second in long stirrup Eq, third in W/T pleasure and second in command.
Jasmine Butler Riding scooter.went in the leadline classes . She received a fourth in English and a second in the western.
Asbury lane just hung out and was excellent on the second day. He was not in any classes just there for the experience . Was ridden all four days and happy to come home. I think everyone was happy to come home. It was a long week for all.
